These Woven Bowls are hand-woven with a completely unique, one-of-a-kind pattern. They are woven by artisans in Kampala, Uganda using traditional methods and local, all-natural materials. The bowl is the perfect for a centrepiece, a unique wall decoration, or as a large, stylish bowl for  fruit or bread.

AfriBeads African baskets, bowls and platters are made from a local fibre taken from raffia, a type of palm leaf, which is then wrapped around long strips of banana leaf stems. The art of weaving is passed down between generations. 

AfriBeads are made by a group of 20 women in Kampala, Uganda. The women make products like this woven bowl to support their families, providing a solid income and the flexible work that they need. The women in Kampala run their own enterprise, making their own decisions together as a collective, working with fair trade principles.
